On June 9, 2015, the International Visegrad Fund marks 15 years since its estab­lish­ment in 2000. In the past 15 years, the fund awarded over 6,000 grant projects, indi­vid­ual schol­ar­ships and artists-in-residence arrange­ments in more than 35 coun­tries in total worth exceed­ing €61 million.

As of today, apply­ing is pos­si­ble within this year’s call for projects in the Visegrad+ (Western Balkans) grant pro­gram. The pri­or­i­ties are unchanged from last year’s call, but the regional coop­er­a­tion area newly includes projects from the fields of edu­ca­tion and cul­ture. Prospective appli­cants are kindly requested to con­tact the fund with any con­crete ques­tions or for con­sul­ta­tions of their proposals.


We have encoun­tered sev­eral fraud­u­lent e-mail mes­sages tar­get­ing our grantees and solic­it­ing infor­ma­tion about the grant projects and are sent as if on behalf of the International Visegrad Fund. These e-mails have been dis­trib­uted from the account sv.visegradfund@gmail.com and were not sent by us. If you receive any such mes­sages, please for­ward them to us and ignore them. Thank you for your cooperation.


The International Visegrad Fund launched a called for pro­pos­als for projects within the 2015 chap­ter of V4EaP Flagship Projects. Applicants can reg­is­ter new projects here.


Today’s Council of Ambassadors held in Budapest approved the fol­low­ing project pro­pos­als sub­mit­ted within the December call for (V4EaP) Flagship Projects:


The International Visegrad Fund is hereby announc­ing a call for pro­pos­als within the 2015 chap­ter Visegrad Strategic Conferences pro­gram. Please note that the call is only tar­get­ing appli­cants reg­is­tered in Poland. The dead­line for on-line sub­mis­sion of appli­ca­tions is April 15, 2015.

Given the fact the March dead­line for Standard Grants falls on Sunday (March 15), hard-copy appli­ca­tions (signed print­outs of the sub­mit­ted appli­ca­tion forms and the accom­pa­ny­ing doc­u­ments) will be accepted with Monday’s (March 16) post­mark, or can be deliv­ered in per­son to the fund by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015. Please note that the dead­line for elec­tronic sub­mis­sion remains unchanged, i.e., 11:59:59 a.m. (noon) on Sunday, March 15. Thank you for your under­stand­ing; we look for­ward to receiv­ing your proposals.


We will be accept­ing hard-copy ver­sions of appli­ca­tions for Small Grants (March 1 dead­line) still on Monday, March 2; if posted, envelopes will be accepted with March 2 post­mark, or will be accepted if deliv­ered in per­son by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2. Please note that this post­pone­ment does not affect the dead­line for elec­tronic sub­mis­sion of project pro­pos­als by 12 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, March 1.

20/02/2015—Deadline Extension for Taiwan Scholarships

The Visegrad–Taiwan Scholarship Program appli­ca­tion dead­line has been extended by one month to March 20, 2015.


As of 2015, orig­i­nal doc­u­ments are no longer required as part of appli­ca­tions sub­mit­ted within grant pro­grams. Simple pho­to­copies (or scan print­outs) of let­ters of intent will be accepted with the signed appli­ca­tion print­outs after the appli­ca­tion forms are sub­mis­sion to the server (please see the full list of manda­tory doc­u­ments). This change affects all grant pro­grams. Thank you for your coop­er­a­tion; we look for­ward to your project proposals!
