Visegrad Strategic Program

The aim of the Visegrad Strategic Program (Strategic Grants) is to sup­port long-term projects of strate­gic char­ac­ter that link insti­tu­tions of all four Visegrad Group coun­tries (appli­cants and project part­ners must rep­re­sent the whole region). The projects must adhere to at least one of the pri­or­i­ties defined by the Conference of Ministers for the given year (see below). The pri­or­i­ties adhere to the pri­or­i­ties of the given Presidency of the Visegrad Group.

Deadline (elec­tronic submission) April 15, 2015

Note: All pro­pos­als must be first sub­mit­ted on-line and then deliv­ered in hard-copy form with accom­pa­ny­ing enclo­sures (see Guidelines).

Budget and time frame:

Max. time frame 36 months
Max. bud­get unlim­ited (aver­age ca. €40,000—see approved projects)
Co-financing 30% (the Fund cov­ers max. 70% project costs)
Overheads cov­ered 15% (see Guidelines)
Tangible/intangible assets covered 7% (see Guidelines)

2015 Priorities:


V4 + Ukraine

  • V4 + Ukraine—Conference/Forum + Expert Consultations:
    Organization of a con­fer­ence of think tanks/NGOs from the V4 coun­tries and Ukraine with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of V4 and Ukrainian gov­ern­ment offi­cials (a series of expert con­sul­ta­tions on spe­cific issues related to the reform agenda could be a part of the project)
  • V4 + UkraineEnergy Security/Energy Efficiency Expertise Exchange:
    Exchange of exper­tise between actors in V4 and Ukraine deal­ing with issues of energy con­ser­va­tion, effi­cient and sus­tain­able use of energy sources through capac­ity build­ing, train­ing, tech­ni­cal assis­tance and expo­sure to good practices
Note: Applications will be accepted for either one of the sub-priorities, i.e., V4 and Ukraine conference/forum, or the energy expert exchange.
