Representatives of science institutions from the Visegrad Group (V4) countries and Japan signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on Tuesday to promote development and increased cooperation in research and innovation. The MoC was signed at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador in Bratislava by representatives of the Japan Science and Technology Agency, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, Hungarian Scientific Research Fund, the National Center for Research and Development of Poland, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and the International Visegrad Fund.

The event took place during the V4 + Japan Exchange Year, which marks the 10th anniversary of mutual cooperation. “This is a historic moment because it took many years to accomplish. The most important thing now is to implement meaningful projects that will have real impact and contribute to scientific development in these countries,” said Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund Karla Wursterová.
