17/08/2012—ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR V4EaP STANDARD GRANTS

As of today, the Fund is accept­ing appli­ca­tions within Standard Grants—EaP (dead­line is September 15, 2012). The pro­gram aims at sup­port­ing projects that develop coop­er­a­tion between the Visegrad Group coun­tries and coun­tries of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák received on August 6, 2012 Petr Vágner, for­mer Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund in Bratislava, on the occa­sion of the forth­com­ing ter­mi­na­tion of his three-year man­date as Executive Director of the Fund. During this meet­ing Minister Lajčák appre­ci­ated the active and suc­cess­ful role of Mr. Vágner in strength­en­ing Visegrad coop­er­a­tion in cul­ture, schol­ar­ship pro­grams, research and cross-border coop­er­a­tion. At the same time Minister M. Lajčák praised the per­sonal con­tri­bu­tion of Mr. Vágner in fur­ther pro­mo­tion of the Fund’s activ­i­ties and awarded him the Golden Plaquette of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

01/08/2012—DEADLINE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS IN TAIWAN POSTPONED

Due to the fact the Fund has received only a min­i­mum num­ber of appli­ca­tions, we are re-opening the on-line appli­ca­tion sys­tem for the IVF-NSC, Taiwan Scholarship Program until September 30, 2012. Application sub­mit­ted within the dead­line of June 29, 2012 will be auto­mat­i­cally trans­ferred to the new dead­line. Thank you for your understanding.

Ms. Karla Wursterová assumes her duties as the Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund as of today replac­ing Mr. Petr Vágner whose term ended on July 31, 2012. Please see the press release below:

Presentation of the Fund’s grant and mobil­ity pro­grams will take place within the Warsaw East European Conference in Room 107 in the old library build­ing of the the Warsaw University (Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28) on Sunday July 15 at 12:30.

29/06/2012—STRATEGIC GRANTS DELAYED

The eval­u­a­tion  process of the Strategic Grants will be pro­longed due to the unprece­dented high num­ber of sub­mit­ted appli­ca­tions. The results will be pub­lished on the Fund’s web­site dur­ing July 2012. All appli­cants will also be noti­fied by e-mail. We apol­o­gize for the delay.

06/06/2012—PRESENTATION IN BANSKÁ BYSTRICA

05/06/2012—LITERARY RESIDENCIES LAUNCHED

In coop­er­a­tion with Villa Decius Association in Cracow, the Fund launches a new sub­pro­gram within VARP—the Visegrad Literary Residency Program. Targeting writ­ers of fic­tion and non-fiction, poets and lit­er­ary trans­la­tors, essay­ists, crit­ics and jour­nal­ists, the pro­gram offers alto­gether 16 grants (4 per V4 coun­try) for the period from September 1 to November 30, 2012.
