Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák received on August 6, 2012 Petr Vágner, former Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund in Bratislava, on the occasion of the forthcoming termination of his three-year mandate as Executive Director of the Fund. During this meeting Minister Lajčák appreciated the active and successful role of Mr. Vágner in strengthening Visegrad cooperation in culture, scholarship programs, research and cross-border cooperation. At the same time Minister M. Lajčák praised the personal contribution of Mr. Vágner in further promotion of the Fund’s activities and awarded him the Golden Plaquette of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
Due to the fact the Fund has received only a minimum number of applications, we are re-opening the on-line application system for the IVF-NSC, Taiwan Scholarship Program until September 30, 2012. Application submitted within the deadline of June 29, 2012 will be automatically transferred to the new deadline. Thank you for your understanding.

In cooperation with Villa Decius Association in Cracow, the Fund launches a new subprogram within VARP—the Visegrad Literary Residency Program. Targeting writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets and literary translators, essayists, critics and journalists, the program offers altogether 16 grants (4 per V4 country) for the period from September 1 to November 30, 2012.
